Appreciation I’m Maysnow Liu, and I’m looking forward to serving as one of Irvington’s Appreciation Commissioners for the upcoming year. As an Appreciation commissioner, my task is to appreciate and welcome all aspects of our Irvington community, whether it be teachers, staff members, different student groups, clubs on campus, or sports members. In the past, we’ve mainly focused on appreciating and honoring the Irvington community after large events, so one of my main goals this year is to appreciate the smaller achievements that happen on campus. Though my job can be very broad, some specific things we like to do each year are: making care packages for sport teams during their season, heading Staff Appreciation Week and Teacher Dinner, planning Love Vikings Week alongside Edjoy, and honoring Students and Athletes of the month. Our ultimate goal as an Appreciation team is to make Irvington’s campus positive, so through our various events and activities, I hope to make our school’s atmosphere a bit more welcoming and warm for everybody on campus. If you have any suggestions or advice for our team, please feel welcomed to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
ASG Appreciation: Sruti Nagam
Hi friends!! My name is Sruti Nagam and I’m super excited and thankful to serve as one of your Appreciation Commissioners for the 2017-2018 year! My focus this year is making sure all of the teachers and student body are fully settled into the school and feel loved through various events and projects. This year, the Appreciation Commission is looking to broaden its scope and organize new and exciting events. We’ll be launching new video projects that involve both students and staff which will help spread everyones positivity and love. While working with other commissions, we’re hoping to introduce and bring back elements such as athlete/student of the month and a superintendent’s dinner to recognize some of our amazing students. These events help reinforce our appreciation for all of the students and staff as it sometimes gets lost through the everyday workings of a busy school day. Irvington is home to kind-hearted and loving students and staff. Through new video projects and social media campaigns, we hope to engage these students across all platforms and make inclusivity a top priority. As a part of the Appreciation Commission, my hope is that more students feel as if they’re appreciated and heard and feel welcomed. As always, I’m here to serve you and I’m always open to suggestions! If you would like your voice to be heard regarding a certain issue, please email the Appreciation Commission at email@example.com LOOKING FORWARD TO AN AMAZING YEAR VIKINGS! <3

Hi everybody! My name is Edison Ma and I'll be serving as your ASG Freshman Intern this 2017-2018 school year. As Freshman Intern, I'll be serving as an assistant to some of the other members in ASG, while also, working on some of my own events, such as Senior Citizen Ball, Red Ribbon Week, and more. For Red Ribbon Week, I will be trying to spread awareness about drugs, alcohol, and tobacco use across teens in America. Along with Red Ribbon Week, there will be Senior Citizen Ball, which is a performance and ball all in one at a nearby Senior Living place. In general, I'll be working on several community/school events, which will both be educational and fun at the same time. Let's get ready for 2017-2018 Vikings! :)
ASG Intern: Ronil Mehta
My name is Ronil Mehta and I am the ASG intern. I am a new addition to ASG, and I oversee things that occur in ASG. I am an extremely passionate and strong Freshman. Unfortunately, I am facing a rare form of Brain Cancer called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) that particularly targets only children. DIPG is inoperable and there is no cure. The prognosis for recovery is less than 1% and life expectancy is about 9 months from diagnosis. However, I am battling through this and facing any hurdles that occur with all my might. I am taking an Intra-Arterial Chemotherapy with Immunotherapy treatment at Mexico every month, which costs $20,000 every month, and medical insurance is not covering my treatment. It would mean a lot if you could donate anything you have to help me be able to receive my treatment. My Gofundme is linked right here:https://www.gofundme.com/hope-for-ronil.hank you for the support, I appreciate it with all my heart ♡.
ASG Audio Tech: Ryan Lam
Hey guys! My name is Ryan Lam , and I'm your 2017-18 audio-tech commissioner. My job is to run and supervise any sound/light equipment where it is requested, maintain and update all of ASG's equipment, and authorize the setup/cleanup of equipment when finished. You might see me at your rallies and dances, but otherwise, you won't see me that often. This year, audio-tech's goal is to improve people's perspectives on school events and improve the atmosphere at these events with music. One of the main things I would like achieve in ASG is engagement with the students at our school in order to create a basis for improvement at these events. By enacting these actions, the Irvington High School community will hopefully grow and flourish as a family.
ASG Edjoycation: Beth Bridges
Hey there! My name is Beth Bridges and I’m very thankful to have the opportunity to serve as one of Irvington's 2017-2018 Edjoycation commissioners. As an Edjoycation commissioner, I will work to make education at Irvington more enjoyable, and I will strive to relieve stress for students. Overall, my goal is to make Irvington an easier and happier place for students to navigate. I will empathize this goal during Welcome Week and Stress-Free Week. However, I will work to brighten the days of students and provide any needed assistance all year long.
ASG Edjoycation: Colleen Li
Hey guys! My name is Colleen Li and I am super excited to serve as one of the EdJoycation Commissioners for the 2017-2018 school year. As a part of this commission, my goal is to create a happy, stress-free environment for Irvington students as well as emphasize student wellness and self love throughout the year. With standardized testing, difficult courses, and extracurriculars, high school can be an extremely stressful period of time. However, we will be hosting week long events such as Welcome Week and Stress Free Week as well as daily activities throughout the year, to relieve stress within the student body and create a pleasant learning environment. The four years of high school is also a time of self discovery and exploration. We plan to utilize both Love Vikings Week as well as miscellaneous activities throughout the academic year to create a joyful community filled with self love, confidence, and appreciation. I love meeting new people so please don't hesitate to reach out to me either in person or through social media. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about our commission, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to getting to know everyone and I have no doubt that the 2017-2018 school year will be an amazing one!
ASG Edjoycation: Jessie Cheng
Hello, fellow Vikings! My name is Jessie Cheng and I will be serving as part of Irvington's Edjoycation Commission. Since this is a new commission, I want to make most out of this experience and reach out to as many students as possible. My main goal is to focus on understanding the many academic, social, and emotional pressures we as students feel in order to plan events which will interest and highly benefit all Irvington students. Furthermore, I want to help ensure a more positive and loving environment here on Irvington campus, so students will feel like they belong as part of the Irvington community. Ultimately, my purpose is to help alleviate stress that students feel, make school more interesting, and think of creative ideas which will benefit a mass majority of Irvington students. It's so difficult to describe or understand the different kinds of immense pressures we feel. We all come from different families, set unique goals for ourselves, and think differently from one other, and these factors make it significantly harder to understand and empathize with those around us.Therefore, our commission is planning to hold multiple Student Fishbowl events over the course of the year, where students will be asked questions regarding their student life and parents/teachers can listen to grasp a better understanding of what goes on in the minds of teenage students. I believe with my entire heart that Irvington is home to some of the most stellar leaders, artists, scientists, authors, photographers, dancers, singers, athletes, etc. One of my own ideas is to hold contests within school which will allow students to showcase their talents or abilities. I'm talking about contests where students compete with artwork, short stories and essays, photos, films, or interpretive dance pieces to fit a certain theme and reveal a spectacular side to themselves. To me, one of the most effective and healthy ways to express our emotions is through our creative sides. By offering fellow students an opportunity to communicate their feelings in fresher ways through friendly competitions (with rewards, of course), I hope most students will feel like this is a healthy and fun way to convey their ideas or bottled-up emotions. Other ideas include bringing back our cute therapy dogs, holding meditation sessions during advisory (why not), painting our trashcans to encourage students to dispose of trash properly, painting benches or empty walls, holding an Irvington Fashion Show, planning our own Music Fest (fun fact: I'm KPOP trash), etc. A personal goal I set for myself is that I want to be an approachable person people can feel comfortable around. I don't care if you're a year older than me or two years younger than me-- it would be awesome getting to know you. If you're ever stressed or unhappy about something and it seems like no one is willing to listen, I am sincerely promising you right now that I would love to listen to you and help you out as much as possible. It would be MY pleasure getting to see just how beautiful and special you are. I feel stressed sometimes, too, and I know how comforting it is when there are people around me always willing to listen and lift me up when I feel down; I hope you feel that way, too. Message me anytime on Facebook, or email email@example.com to give us feedback or advice. Know today that you're beautiful, loved, and talented. Enjoy your day~~ <3
ASG Edjoycation: Saisha Singh
Hello! My name is Saisha Singh and I am one of the EdJoycation Commissioners for the 2017-2018 Irvington High School Associated Student Government. My goal as a commissioner for EdJoycation is to create a warm and welcoming environment for students and to ease some of the stress and anxiety many Irvington students battle on a daily basis. I plan to hold events that combat these issues and bring joy into the lives of our students along with my fellow commissioners. We plan to start off the year strong with Welcome Week, a week to show our students that we appreciate them and create an inviting atmosphere for the upcoming school year. We will also host Love Vikings Week, Stress Free Week, Core Week as well as other stress-free tutorials throughout the school year to help Irvington students manage their workload and work to make Irvington a more stress-free environment. I hope that my actions will make a lasting impact on the lives of Irvington students and I am very excited to have this opportunity to serve my school and community!
ASG Elections: Maryum Haidari
Hello! My name is Maryum Haidari and I'm very excited to be one of the elections co-commissioners during the 2017-2018 school year. As elections commissioners, my team and I are in charge of organizing the homecoming court/king and queen nominations, voting, and reveals. We'll also be planning the homecoming court's rally performance. In addition, we'll be organizing the spring ASG elections for the next upcoming school year and recruiting incoming freshman for the 2018-2019 ASG class. One of my goals this year for homecoming court is to have the reveals be as entertaining and engaging as possible and run all voting and nominations smoothly and fairly. Since the majority of voting this year will be done online, our goal is to encourage each student to be represented and take the opportunity to vote. One of my goals for the spring elections is to make sure students cast a representative vote and really have the chance to get to know each candidate and their viewpoints.
ASG Elections; Maya Lu
Elections Hi! My name is Maya Lu and I am your 2017-2018 Elections Co-Commissioner! I am excited to be planning, along with my cos, homecoming court and the elections for the 2018-2019 leadership team. My aim will be to have the election weeks be as thorough, transparent, and fair as possible with maximum participation, and to execute this, we will be restructuring, reevaluating, and revamping past election weeks. In addition, another goal of mine is to have homecoming court be an accurate representation of Irvington and our values. Furthermore, It is also my dream to make both court and queen and king reveals incredibly well organized and a memorable event students will remember when they think back on high school, and I plan to make that happen :). Beyond elections, as a member of ASG, I hope to serve as a voice for the student body, help create a more unified student body, and contribute to making our school a happier place for students to be. By reaching out to as many individuals as I can, I hope to make new friendships and encourage more involvement in school events. ASG Elections: Vicky Kang
Co-Elections Commissioner Hello! My name is Vicky Kang and I am your 2017-2018 Co-Elections Commissioner. As Co-Elections Commissioner, my job is to plan out all the logistics of Homecoming King and Queen reveals, plan the spring elections, recruit incoming freshmen, and act as the chairperson of Certified Vikings. For the King and Queen reveal, we must plan the voting process for nominations, court, and the actual King/Queen voting. Planning out the court reveal and King/Queen reveal also includes buying all the necessary supplies and making the props. For the spring elections, we have to make applications and interview all the candidates. Then, we have to plan out the speeches, Q&A’s, the elections assembly, and the voting process. Towards the end of the year, we also have to recruit freshmen from Horner. Finally, we are in charge of the Certified Vikings Program, which is a new program we are starting this year to recognize students that have met certain criteria. My main goal this year as Co-Elections Commissioner is to hopefully get a broad representation of the students at Irvington as well as making Homecoming reveals memorable for everyone. Hope you guys have a wonderful school year!
ASG Fundraising: Arnav Kamra
Hello everyone, my name is Arnav Kamra and I am excited to be one of the fundraising commissioners of the IHS 2017-2018 year. This year my main goal is to plan and execute fundraisers that will not only benefit the school as a whole, but bring together the student body. I hope to plan both enjoyable and affordable fundraisers for the student body throughout the course of the 2017-2018 school year. One of my main focuses this year is to bring together all of the students in each class, and all of the classes to create a unified environment. I hope to do this by having fundraisers that appeal to all students of all classes. By bringing fundraisers to Irvington's campus, food and other items will be readily available before and after school. Food items such as dipping dots will be sold on a daily basis after school as a great way to end the school day. I hope that I can make a difference on your high school experience. If you have any suggestions on fundraisers we can do, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org I hope together, we can make this upcoming school year full of memories and unforgettable :)
ASG Fundraising: Shanna Le
Hello (-: My name is Shanna Le and I am beyond excited to be working alongside ASG as the Co-Fundraising Commissioner for this 2017-2018 school year. With all the events yet to come, my goals are to contribute to the engagement of the student body, to increase our school pride, and to grow the spirit aspect for a complete high school experience. Throughout the year, ASG will be continuously fundraising to hold our events, such as Spirit and Stress Free Week, to provide the most engaging and educational environment for the student body. For this school year, I will be planning events to raise funds to further develop Irvington, allowing ASG to fulfill the students' suggestions and create our community. These fundraisers will range from after school activities with academics, athletics, and arts, accommodating to our student body, to letting the students explore the different events and shows our school has to offer. ASG Go Green: Bianca Wu
Go Green Commissioner Hello! My name is Bianca Wu and along with Mariam Mustafa and Roshni Srivastava, we're your Irvington High School Go Green Commissioners for the 2017-2018 school year. My appreciation for student leadership and sustainable living has driven me to join ASG in order to encourage others to adopt eco-friendly lifestyles both at school and at home. Our defined roles as Go Green Commissioners include providing adequate recycling facilities, heading Green Advisory activities, coordinating campus beautifications, organizing the carpool parking spots, managing Earth Week, and setting up recycling schedules around Irvington. However, my personal goals are not to force students to convert to sustainable lifestyles through strict regulation but to encourage you guys to willingly practice eco-friendliness through trendy and unifying opportunities such as participating in Instagram challenges, receiving free sustainable stuff (e.g. free water bottles, eco-friendly tshirts, smoothie-bike smoothies, etc.), or taking part in service learning events at Irvington and around the Bay Area. Through these opportunities that the Irvington GG Commission puts on, I hope to see eco-friendly Irvington students as examples for others to follow. Oh and if you have any sustainable ideas or tips, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org! Bleed Blue, and Go Green!
ASG Go Green: Mariam Mustafa
Hi, I'm Mariam Mustafa, and I’m super excited to serve as one of Irvington’s Go Green co-commissioners this year! So far, my co-commissioners and I have already organized a campus parking lot paint job over the summer in efforts to better a significant part of the school used by both students and staff! An important part of my duty is to manage the Green Advisory, which is an advisory in which the commissioners and other students motivated to making the campus a greener and better place come together and contribute thoughtful ideas on bettering the school. The Green Advisory serves as a means of building leadership and teamwork all while working to make Irvington a better place, so feel free to reach out to me if you have any interest in being a part of the advisory! Some other ideas we have are to modify compost bins to make composting easier for the student body, create campus beautification events and green education, and work with an organization called Safe Routes to make fun and environmentally-friendly events such as the smoothie bike and bike-to-school day possible! If you have any suggestions or concerns pertaining to Go Green’s efforts or Irvington in general, please feel free to reach out to me at email@example.com! I’m looking forward to a great year! :)

ASG LINK Commissioner: Michelle Tran
Hello! I'm Michelle and I'm incredibly excited and humbled to be the co-LINK commissioner for 2017-2018. As LINK commissioner, one of my main goals for the school year is to build an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students, starting with the freshman. As freshman start high school, they're entering unfamiliar terrain, and it can be intimidating. But LINK leaders are here to help!!! Through the LINK program our goal is to create bonds between upperclassmen and underclassmen, and help freshman year go a little smoother :-) Events Every year, LINK leaders are a vital part of freshman orientation. LINK leaders are all assigned a group of freshman whom they will help by giving freshman an idea what Irvington is like and showing them what's around so the don't get lost! The annual LINK movie night will be held in the cafeteria the Friday before Thanksgiving break. This event allows LINK leaders to bond with their freshman while watching a movie and eating some popcorn. LINK advisory visits will be every three weeks where LINK leaders go around during advisory and visit their freshman and catch up with each other. Along with LINK advisory visits we will have activities such as cookie decorating to allow LINK leaders to have more interactive bonding times with their freshman. ASG Rally Commissioner Hi my name is Andrew Yamasaki and I am the 2017-2018 Irvington High School Rally Commissioner! I am excited to fulfill my role as the main source and represtative of viking spirit this year! I plan on achieving the maximum potential of this role by interacting with and befriending as many students and teachers as possible. With doing this, I hope I'll be able to incorporate more ideas and desires into our school pep rallies. The main events I will be involved with this year are all the rallies. This includes the Homecoming Rally, Winter Rally, Blacklight Rally, Multicultural Rally, and the End of the Year Rally. My goal with these events will be to turn them into special moments in the school year where the whole IHS community can come together and laugh, love, and overall appreciate the acts preformed as well as just these occasions in general where we all come together as a family.
ASG Rally Director: Lauren Sage

Along side with the rally commissioner, our over all goal for this year is to produce amazing rallies that not only bring IHS together but also pump the student body with spirit and pride. Through the Homecoming, Winter, Black Light, Multicultural, and End of the Year rally we hope to provide a feeling of community and pride to be a Viking! I would like to open the doors behind the secretive process of planning a rally and get as many people involved as possible to make every rally feel as if each group at Irvington has help in some way. If you have any ideas for a rally intro, game, or anything at all, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org!
ASG Service Learning: Andey Ng
ASG Service Learning Commissioner Hi guys! My name is Andey Ng and I'm so excited to be Irvington's 2017-2018 Service Learning Commissioner. My main role is collaborating with Mr. Lewis to create all the service learning events for Irvington that will educate students about our community while also helping them reach the 40 service hours required for graduation. Events This year, my job is to create exciting service events that will not only fun and engaging for everyone but also spread awareness and create empathy for the minority groups in our direct community. The profit at our service events will be donated to the designated charity depending on the event. In addition, I am partnering with Go Green to hold a beautification event, am the Co-chairman of Red Ribbon Week, and am heading the Sophomore class's WIP event. Irvington, Fremont and the Bay Area is unique where we have a wide spectrum of different people. However, we rarely get the opportunity to reach out of our bubble and interact with minority groups. Many of Irvington's students rarely get a chance to personally interact or make a change. Nevertheless, I the events I intend to hold events/drives that will help Irvington students get familiar with different groups of people such as the LGBTQ, Special Ed, Senior Citizens, Cancer Patients, the Illiterate and Underprivileged, and the Homeless . I'll also be publicizing other service opportunities outside of Irvington for those who are interested, so keep and eye out! I highly encourage to be active our IHS community, as it will be fun and insightful. If you ever need to contact me for suggestions, concerns, or anything else, please email email@example.com :) See you at our service learning events!
ASG Service Learning: Sherin Lajevardi
Service Learning Commissioner Hi Irvington! My name is Sherin Lajevardi and I am looking forward to accomplishing significant things and serving as the a 2017-2018 Irvington High School Associated Student Government Service Learning Commissioner. My main goals and focuses this year are to organize and facilitate memorable service learning events that not only bring the school together, but also provide outreach to the community. Holistically, my main goal is to supply students with the opportunity to gain service hours while still actively learning and interacting with peers. Events This fall I am excited to organize our first luminaries event where students have the opportunity to create their own luminary and write a wish for cancer patients, along with raising money and awareness for the many people who suffer from cancer and other chronic illnesses. During the fall, we are also planning the LGBT tie-dye event. During the winter, I am looking forward toward organizing the usual food, clothing, and toy drives along with pennies for patients, primarily during Christmas time in order to reach out to children and families in need during the holidays.Additionally, we plan to hold pen pal events in order to reach out to underprivileged children and increase literacy locally. We also plan on starting tutoring sessions in which high school students earn service hours for tutoring children in low performing schools in order to provide them with academic help that would otherwise be out of reach for these children. During the spring, we plan to hold THON, a cancer-awareness event that raises money for the UCSF Cancer Research center. Additionally, we plan on holding the usual WIP Color Run event in which students celebrate the end of WIP, but also contribute money that is used towards a charity of choice. Lastly, I highly encourage all questions and believe strongly in maintaining a close connection with the student body, along with providing transparency. I am excited to organize events with the goal of bringing the student body together in order to work towards a greater good, and ultimately benefit Irvington, the community, and the city as a whole. Feel free to contact service learning or me personally at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to an amazing 2017-2018 year ! :)

This year I’d like to focus on student engagement, inclusiveness, and overall student happiness. My team and I will be working towards creating a fun and more enjoyable environment for Irvington High School students. This year the Spirit Commission will be organizing fun new noon activities for throughout the year, opened to anyone and everyone to come take part in! These events serve as a mini escape for students during the school day, away from the stress classes may bring! Spirit will also be working along side other commissions to re-vamp other events such as Clash of the Class, Spirit Week, and much more! Through these events and activities we hope to engage our student body and reach out to all of our different groups on campus. As part of the Spirit Commission I strive to help create a fun filled year for every student at Irvington! I am here to serve all IHS students and consider all opinions important. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to see on Irvington’s Campus please feel free to email the Spirit Commission at email@example.com! LET’S HAVE AN AMAZING YEAR! GET HYPED VIKINGS! <3
ASG Spirit: Derick Nguyen
ASG Spirit Commissioner Hey everybody! My name is Derick Nguyen and I am very excited to serve as your Spirit Commissioner for the 2017-2018 school year. As this is my fourth year at Irvington, I've grown to know what people say about the school. I have heard people say that students at Irvington are not unified or spirited, and that they only care about school. I have put it on me and my fellow Spirit Commissioners to change that and break the partitions that divide the student body. Events Some of my plans include creating more noon activities where students can come together and get more involved with the school, also getting to know each other in the process. Additionally, I would also like to help other commissions hype up the events which they are planning, as a spirited event is a better event. This can range anywhere from the rallies to sports games, where I will put it upon my commission to increase student attendance and maximize student interest. Lastly, I will work with Class Officers in planning out the annual Clash of the Classes. My biggest hope is that from my plans Irvington will no longer be known for its competitive and toxic student environment and become a place where students look around and feel like they are among family. While this may seem far fetched, I hope that it will become a reality. Of course, this will not be possible without student cooperation, and so I hope that we can work together hand-in-hand and create change. If you have any concerns or ideas, I am open to discussion. I promise I won't bite :)
ASG Spirit Shreyas Prasanna
HEY VIKINGS! I am Shreyas Prasanna and I hold the position as your 2017-2018 Spirit Commissioner! I am excited to work to improve the unity of our school. I believe that with help of Caitlyn and Derick we will be able to reach our goals. We obviously are focusing on the Spirit aspect via Spirit Weeks!!! We will try to consider spirit themes that are easier for students to participate in. (i.e. hat day vs cowboy hat day). We would also love to work with student body to determine spirit themes such as School Coachella (hopefully) and various types of events as such. Our main goal is to possibly come up with more dress up day ideas so that we aren't stuck doing the same thing every year and the more spirit days there are... the more our school has opportunities to come together. We are hoping to figure out a way that we can coordinate with teachers or possibly give students an incentive to participate in spirit week for a better resulted outcome. As a commission, we serve to improve the current Clash of the Classes, a fun competition between classes, by creating games that the student body actually wants to participate in. We will have a variety of activities that cater to every students preferences to create the ideal night! We strive to expand in order to include acts such as Mr. IHS, Goof Troop, and teachers to create a closer and more comfortable environment. We also want to bring in a wider variety of people to audition and participate for the rallies. We would love to work with other commissions and possibly give previews of the rally to increase the hype. We would like to focus on Sports teams and figure out ways to increase participation of the student body. We are excited to work with Appreciation to increase attendance to Irvington High School games. I cannot express how excited I am to serve as your Spirit Commissioner and please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding ASB/School/Food in person or at firstname.lastname@example.org. Here is to a great year ahead!!!!
ASG Visualizations Team: Kenneth Nguyen
Hey, I'm Kenneth Nguyen and I'm incredibly grateful to be in ASG again as one of the commissioners within the new and improved Visualizations Team. This year, my goals include doing my part to increase participation throughout the entire school, remaining consistent and efficient with everything that is put out by the Visualizations Team, and sharing opportunities that were limited to ASG members in the past with the student body. ASG is working extremely hard this year to reach as many audiences as possible by increasing the number of students in the class, simultaneously increasing the number of perspectives and opinions as well. This year, the Visualizations Team and I will be working on releasing more videos alongside flyers. With Raymond Pi, Meghan Wu, and Josh Dye now working with ASG, new opportunities to incorporate modern art, graphic design, and filmography into every flyer or video are presented. The Visualizations team will be also running social media accounts such as Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat to advertise and promote events throughout the entire year. I am most definitely excited to work with these three creatives as well as everyone else in ASG to make this year one to remember. Thank you ASG for giving me a platform to share my voice and an outlet for my creativity. However opportunities to be a leader can present themselves anywhere at any time. Anyone can make a difference. If you have any questions email me at email@example.com.
ASG Visualizations Team: Josh Dye
My name is Josh Dye and I'm in the visualizations commision. I'm in this commission in ASG because I love making videos and it's a great way to get things out there to people. This year I want to achieve a way to make videos to hype things up and recap the fun things we are going to do this school year. I'm planning to make recap videos for the major things of the school year like homecoming week, rallies, and the dances. Through making videos it will show the fun, and the work, of all the activities we do in ASG and all of Irvington High.
ASG Visualizations Team: Meghan Wu
My name is Meghan Wu and I am apart of the Visualizations Team 2017-2018. The Visualizations Team involves all aspects of social media (fliers, designs, videos) and post them online and on campus. I have a huge passion for creating content on Photoshop (fliers/designs) and Sony Vegas Pro (videos). From looking at all the new movies, tv shows, and YouTube videos, I've become inspired by how they make these amazing pieces of artwork. I was memorized by the cinematography and the technical aspect of the different shots and how people edited them together. The goals I want to achieve this year in ASG are to make eye catching fliers and post behind-the-scenes videos/pictures on our IHS social media platforms (I.e snapchat, Instagram). By showing our school what we do as an ASG class, it will hopefully help everyone better understand the dedication and creativity we have towards Irvington High School. I am really looking forward to all the new creations my team is going to make and hope you all enjoy them as much as we had fun making them.
ASG Visualizations Team: Raymond Pi
Hello, my name is Raymond Pai and I'm one of four members of the 2017-2018 Irvington High School Associated Student Government's Visualizations Team. We are a team of ASG members responsible for all publicity at Irvington High School (such as online fliers, posters, videos, and the Vikings Website). Beyond the technicalities of the position, I aim to pursue building a positive, inclusive, and informed community for the students of Irvington High School by making it fun, welcoming, and easy to participate in school events. This year my team and I will organizing Irvington High School's annual Winterball. By reevaluating our previous iterations of the event, I will plan to make this year's Winterball a festive experience with broad and diverse participation from the student community. My team and I are here to provide a bridge of communication between ASG and the student body. Such a bridge can only be effective if our publicity allows everyone to feel included. If you are ever confused or concerned about the content of our media I encourage you to let us know on ways we can improve for the future. I look forward to publicizing many of the great events and experiences we have to offer for your high school experience.
