Hello! My name is Julia and I am one of the Senior Class Officers. My job is to create an exciting year, particularly for the seniors such as by planning prom, senioritis, bench building, grad night, and much more. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to plan events that will make our last year the most memorable and to make our class connect closer as a whole.
Senior Class Officers: Sarvesh Nagwekar
Junior Class Officer: Faye Wang
Hi Everyone!! My name is Faye and I am both ecstatic and humbled to be serving as one of the two Junior Class Officers this year! Junior year can be a stressful experience, but I also believe that it can be an enjoyable one. My three main goals for the year are: embracing diversity, increasing transparency, and promoting self-exploration. These three goals will work simultaneously in order to create a stronger bond between our whole class. Being a Junior Class Officer entails preparing for Homecoming week, overseeing class council, and planning for our class’s first Prom! With these responsibilities in mind, I would like to expand upon the strong foundation precedented by our previous class officers by implementing feasible spirit days, more activity-based fundraisers, a greater appreciation for multiple social groups within our class, consistent one-on-one publicity, accessible media platforms, and increasing student input. If at any point in the year you would like to ask me questions, make suggestions, or simply need a shoulder to lean on, please do not hesitate to reach out to me! There are only four years in high school and I want to make sure that each one holds meaning--including the infamously hectic "junior year".
Junior Class Officer: Jackie Ngo
Hey friends! My name is Jackie Ngo and I am very humbled to be serving as your 2017-2018 Junior Class Co-Class Officer. My main goal for the upcoming school year is to further instill a better culture on our campus--one where we can all support each other through hardships that are to come, appreciate the uniqueness of our class, widen our class' inclusion gap, and, of course, maintain that spirit!! The main specifics of my job is to help lead/plan Homecoming Spirit Week, Junior Bench Building, Dodgeball Tournament, and Junior Prom, but the highlight of it all is truly to be serving my class. CO'19's Class Council and my partner, Faye Wang, and I will always put in 110% effort into everything we do so that our class can create long-lasting memories with friends and enjoy high school amidst of all the schoolwork. 2 things I am currently working on are ways to improve communication between class council and the rest of CO'19 and to further appreciate students within CO'19. For one, the Junior Bulletin within the courtyard will be revamped this year to provide more on-campus publicizing for the students (as opposed to mostly online-pubbing). Outstanding students will also be featured as Viking of the Month as well as other things such as student artwork for Inktober (and more!) on campus. If you ever have any questions, suggestions, or input on something our class is doing or something you'd like to see, feel free to let me know! I'd love to help in any way possible. Let's kick it off to a great year. :-) Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Message me or talk to me in person about something if you'd like too!
Sophomore Class Officer: Kaitlyn Phan
Sophomore Class Officer Hello! My name is Kaitlyn Phan and I am beyond excited to serve as Class of 2020's Sophomore Class Officer. My goals for this year is to increase engagement and help facilitate a welcoming environment. This year, Nava, my co-Sophomore Class Officer, and I are planning the benchbuilding display, class dance, and other events for Homecoming Week. The effort and amount of work our class puts into Homecoming week is astonishing and helps to instill important value. Passion, resourcefulness, and a sense of community comes from the determination to accomplish a single, unified goal. In addition, I will be planning new fundraisers that are more easily accessible to our class. Convenient locations and favorable timings will help improve attendance to class fundraisers. It allows us to increase class funds while creating an opportunity for our class to create lasting connections. If you have any suggestions, questions, or need someone to talk to, don't be afraid to contact me at email@example.com . Looking forward to an amazing year :)
Sophomore Class Officer: Nava Babaei
Hey! My name is Nava Babaei, and I am one of two Sophomore Class Officers for the 2017-2018 school year. Working alongside Kaitlyn Phan, my goals are to unite the class of 2020 and create a positive outlet for people to have fun with school through events, fundraisers, and more. Together, Kaitlyn and I have many duties. We organize benchbuilding for the class. This is a tradition through the classes where summer days are spent bonding and building for the long awaited homecoming week. This year, our theme is Rio de Janiero, and we will be filling the courtyard with colorful creations. We will be looking into prom venues and more details for next year’s junior prom later into the school year. To raise money for events like this, we will be holding fundraisers. From restaurants to Club Rush, we hope to raise enough money to hold a memorable prom and many more events. Catering more towards the unity of the class, we will be having many events to have fun and bond with the class. My aim is to do the best I can to create opportunities for the members of our class to make lasting memories and more friends. I also hope to se this unity build more spirit in our class. We spend eight or more hours a day, five days a week, nine months a year, for four years, at Irvington High School. Four years with the same people, and same environment. Why not get involved, take chances and opportunities, and have a little fun? If you want us to hear your thoughts, suggestions, concerns, etc., contact Kaitlyn and I at firstname.lastname@example.org <3 To a great year :)
Freshman Class Officer: Krithik Varghese
Hi I'm Krithik Varghese and I'm proud to serve as one of this years Freshmen Class Officers for the Class of 2021. As class officer I serve my class by helping to conduct our benchbuildings for Homecoming week and scheduling the major events we have for the class. As class officer I also help plan and supervise many of the fundraisers that we have throughout the year. Another responsibility that I have is selecting a class council to aid me and the class of 2021 in our duties. Me and my officer Ethan co-lead all the class council meeting that we hold throughout the year. This year I'm hoping to unite the class through events such as spirit week and through the many fundraisers and fun events that we plan throughout the year. I also hope to help our class hold some great fundraisers that every one can enjoy while also giving back to our class. This year as mentioned before I'll be aiding in the planning of spirit week and also be aiding in the planning of some of the awesome fundraisers that we have throughout this year. With these activities I hope to, like I mentioned before, unite the class together under a common umbrella because together WE are the class of 2021. Thanks and if you have any queries or questions don't be afraid to come up to me and ask them. You can also message and email me at email@example.com. Thanks and have a great day.
